The sealed body has undergone submerged tests and has far exceeded the IPX7 specification. The SP1 is completely waterproof and will survive an accidental submersion in water for a minimum of 24 hours. With it's exceptionally bright beam spot and fast blinking mode it makes this instrument ideal for sunlit conditions.
